This week’s Feature Friday has been serving our community for many years. Hudson River Housing works to strengthen communities by developing and preserving affordable housing and creating opportunities for people and places to thrive. Created in 1982 to address the emerging homeless problem in Dutchess County, it has since grown into a large, multi-service provider of housing and other services to a wide range of underserved populations. Hudson River Housing has grown from one program designed to house the homeless, to twenty-five separate programs offering housing and supportive services, including projects like Middle Main revitalization and the Poughkeepsie Underwear Factory. We can’t wait to see what they will do next to continue to help Poughkeepsie grow!
